The Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in consultative meetings aimed at developing an economic recovery program for various sectors in Gaza. The meetings were held at the headquarters of the Gaza Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the presence of representatives from chambers of commerce across the Gaza Strip.
Representing the Rafah Chamber were Mr. Abdullah Madi, Treasurer and Acting Chairman of the Chamber, and Eng. Haitham Abu Taha, Head of the Economic Committee.
Participants also included representatives from other chambers: Mr. Riyad Al-Sawafiri from the Gaza Chamber as the Economic Committee Coordinator, Eng. Mohammad Abu Taha, Secretary of the Khan Younis Chamber, and Eng. Baha Al-Amawi, Secretary of the North Gaza Chamber.
This meeting comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance coordination among chambers of commerce in the Gaza Strip and to develop a comprehensive economic recovery program that addresses current challenges, supports the resilience of the private sector, and stimulates local economic activity.
Participants emphasized the importance of unified efforts and joint action to produce a practical and implementable plan that meets the needs of various sectors and promotes growth and investment opportunities.
It was also highlighted that specialized meetings will be held for each sector and field, with the aim of accurately identifying needs and diagnosing challenges, ultimately leading to a comprehensive recovery program that effectively addresses the requirements of all economic sectors in Gaza.
