Rafah Chamber of Commerce Discusses Ways to Support the Local Economy with the ILO

The Board of Directors of the Rafah Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture participated in a meeting held between the chambers of commerce across the Gaza Strip and a delegation from the International Labour Organization (ILO). The Rafah Chamber was represented by Acting Chairman Mr. Abdullah Madi, the Treasurer, and Head of the Economic Committee Eng. Haitham Abu Taha.
The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Gaza Chamber of Commerce, where discussions focused on the intervention programs that the ILO intends to implement to support economic recovery efforts, strengthen the capacities of chambers of commerce across the Gaza Strip, and enhance the capabilities of private sector companies.
The meeting also addressed mechanisms to support and develop small and micro enterprises, as they are considered a key pillar in strengthening the resilience of the local economy and creating new job opportunities amid the difficult economic conditions in the Gaza Strip.
The Rafah Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture emphasized the importance of such meetings in strengthening joint cooperation with international institutions, supporting the private sector, and contributing to revitalizing economic activity and serving business owners and enterprises in Rafah Governorate and the Gaza Strip in general.
