Khan Younis – Public Relations
The Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Khan Younis Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized a joint workshop entitled “Developing the Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Unit”, as part of the Chambers’ ongoing efforts to strengthen the business environment and support professional and effective mechanisms for resolving commercial disputes.
The workshop covered a number of specialized topics addressing the importance of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms, as well as their role in resolving commercial disputes away from traditional judicial procedures. Such mechanisms can contribute to providing faster, more flexible, and more efficient solutions for the business community.
The workshop was delivered by Counselor Mohammed Al-Saqqa, Counselor Mohammed Al-Hattab, and Ms. Heba Al-Sharbashy, who addressed several topics related to the development of the arbitration system, alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and the importance of enhancing arbitration units within chambers of commerce in line with the needs of the business community.
Representing the Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the workshop was attended by Mr. Mokhtar Sami Fogo, Chairman of the Chamber’s Arbitration Committee; Mr. Kamal Al-Najili, Deputy Treasurer; Eng. Haitham Abu Taha, Chairman of the Economic Committee; and Mr. Eyad Abu Taha, General Manager of the Chamber, along with a number of members of the General Assembly and professionals interested in arbitration and dispute resolution.
The workshop comes as part of the Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s ongoing efforts to develop the services it provides to the private sector and strengthen the tools available to traders and business owners to resolve disputes in a manner that protects rights and supports the continuity of economic activity.
The Chamber had previously announced through its official page the opening of registration for participation in the workshop, reflecting its commitment to providing members of the General Assembly and interested professionals with opportunities to benefit from the topics and expertise presented during the workshop.
