The Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with Wefaq Association for Women and Child Empowerment, concluded a series of training workshops as part of the Women Entrepreneurs Empowerment Program, implemented under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two parties. The program targeted 150 women entrepreneurs, with the aim of strengthening their entrepreneurial capacities and enhancing their readiness to establish and manage successful and sustainable businesses that respond to market needs in the Gaza Strip.
The final workshop was attended by Mr. Abdullah Madi, Treasurer of the Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Acting Chairman of the Chamber, and Eng. Haitham Abu Taha, Head of the Chamber’s Economic Committee. Their participation reflects the Chamber’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at empowering women and strengthening their role in economic development.
The training program was delivered by Mr. Eyad Abu Taha, Director General of the Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Ahmad Muammar, Public Relations and Media Officer at the Khan Younis Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The workshops addressed a number of key topics, including identifying the skills and capabilities of women entrepreneurs, analyzing market needs in the Gaza Strip, exploring available investment opportunities, as well as project selection criteria and mechanisms for choosing suitable business projects that match the entrepreneur’s capabilities and market requirements.
In his remarks, Mr. Abdullah Madi praised the fruitful partnership with Wefaq Association for Women and Child Empowerment, emphasizing that investing in the capabilities of Palestinian women is a fundamental pillar for achieving economic and social development. He reaffirmed that the Chamber will continue to support initiatives that contribute to developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem and creating opportunities for women to actively participate in economic development.
At the conclusion of the program, the participants expressed their appreciation for the efforts made in organizing the workshops, praising the practical training content, which addressed their knowledge and practical needs in the field of entrepreneurship. They highlighted the program’s contribution to enhancing their skills in market analysis, selecting suitable business projects, and developing feasible business ideas, thereby increasing their prospects for successful and sustainable businesses.
