Today, the Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in the Gaza Strip discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) during a meeting with the Programme’s Strategic Advisor, Mr. Salim Salimi, in the presence of representatives of the Chambers of Commerce across the governorates of the Gaza Strip.
The meeting was attended on behalf of the Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry by Mr. Abdullah Madi, Treasurer of the Chamber, and Eng. Haitham Abuta, Head of the Economic Committee, along with a number of representatives of the Chambers of Commerce.

During the meeting, participants discussed prospects for cooperation in developing arbitration and dispute resolution activities within the Chambers, in a manner that contributes to strengthening the arbitration framework, resolving commercial disputes, and activating the role of Chambers of Commerce across the Gaza Strip in this field.
The meeting also addressed the importance of supporting and developing arbitration mechanisms as an effective means of settling commercial disputes, particularly under the current economic conditions, given their role in protecting traders’ rights, enhancing the business environment, and supporting economic stability.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants agreed to continue coordination and joint consultations, and to explore practical mechanisms for developing arbitration centers and expanding the scope of their services, in order to serve the business community and the commercial sector in the Gaza Strip.
